Viking Growth invests close to SEK 100 million in Inretrn

The Nordic growth investor backs the post-purchase engine built for commerce.

Viking Growth, the Nordic B2B software investor, is investing close to SEK 100 million in Inretrn. The investment, a combination of new share issuance and acquisition of existing shares, will fund product development and expansion across the Nordics and Europe.

The cost behind the customer journey

Swedish e-commerce generates over SEK 153 billion annually. Analyses show that inefficient post-purchase flows alone cost Swedish retailers more than SEK 7 billion per year in manual work, delayed refunds, and products that don’t reach their most profitable destination.

Returns, exchanges, claims and repairs sit at the centre of this problem. Most retailers still handle these flows manually, across too many systems and too many people, with no single point of ownership from customer initiation to final resolution.

Inretrn automates the operational decisions behind every post-purchase event – routing each product to the market with highest demand, the store carrying the right inventory gap, resale, repair or complaint handling – without requiring retailers to grow their teams as volumes increase.

Built for retail complexity

Inretrn’s platform provides end-to-end ownership of the post-purchase flow: from the moment a customer initiates a return or exchange, through warehouse and logistics decisions, to refund completion and product reintroduction. The platform is used by leading brands including Stadium, Gina Tricot, Nelly, Björn Borg, Nudie Jeans and Svenskt Tenn.

“Return handling has become one of the most costly problems in e-commerce operations. Inretrn stands out with product depth, domain knowledge and a customer base that proves they’re solving a real market need.”

— Martin Sjøhaug Eriksen, Investment Director, Viking Growth

“With Viking Growth’s experience scaling Nordic software companies internationally, we get the support needed to help more brands and retailers take full control of the post-purchase journey.”

— Fredrik Hedblom, CEO, Inretrn

About Inretrn
Inretrn is a post-purchase engine built for commerce. The platform automates the operational decisions behind returns, exchanges, claims and repairs – from the moment a customer initiates a case until the customer has been refunded and the product is ready to sell again. Unlike simpler return portals, Inretrn owns the entire post-purchase operation end-to-end, not just the customer-facing touchpoint. The result: every product reaches its most profitable destination, and teams scale without adding headcount.
